Race Report

Certainly one of the best races and well-organized events any of us have ever done.  Who would think riding hilly dirt roads could have been so great, and on a single 50mile loop (not circuits done over and over again).  BVF was represented by Adam, Chis and Scott in the 4's with Brett and Jonathan doing their last races in the 5's.

from Chris:
That was the best race I have ever done. The climbs were not to that bad it really felt like a real Belgian classic. It had it all climbs, tempo riding, echelons, and people who didn't work, who we dropped.

from Adam:
Chris and I got 23rd and 25th, and crossed in a group of 7, 9 minutes off the winner, whose group apparently splintered on the last climb, with #10 about 7 minutes ahead of us. Scott dropped off on one of the climbs midway through, after fighting his way back on after the first climb. Chris and I kept the tempo up on the later flat sections, after I barely managed to hold on to our "groupetto" during the mid-race climbs.
